Fiddler on the Roof

Assistant Director - Persephone Theatre

Book by Joseph Stein. Music by Jerry Bock. Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Based on Sholem Aleichem's stories, by special permission of Arnold Perl.
Nov/Dec 2018
Winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof continues to touch audiences worldwide with its great humor and heart. Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centres on Tevye, a poor milkman, who is deeply devoted to his five daughters and tries to instil them with traditional values in the face of great change and upheaval in Russia. Fiddler’s rousing songs of celebration and beautiful songs of love and loss are some of the best ever written for musical theatre. A spectacular and heartwarming holiday entertainment for the entire family!
