Jacob Wolstencroft is a Canadian director based in London, working across new writing, musical theatre, and Actor-Musician performance.
He is drawn to work that plays with absence as a storytelling element which holds grief and love as inseparable. He believes in creating Theatre that is an Event and the subsequent ripple effect that can extend beyond any one production.
In making joyful work that asks audiences to engage with their imaginations, his theatre is political: building an audience's capacity for empathy strengthens community and promotes positivity and acceptance into our world.

Currently, Jacob is directing Trés Gay Plays for The Divine Fringe Festival in June 2026.
